  • A superbill is a detailed, itemized receipt for services provided (like therapy) that allows clients to seek potential reimbursement from their insurance company when the provider is out-of-network (OON). It is not a direct bill, but a document containing provider, client, and diagnostic codes needed for insurance claims.
